Old-world tapestry

Lisa Steinbach Schecter designed this kitchen to be in keeping with a Spanish Colonial home. Hammered copper countertops help establish the old-world atmosphere, while custom wrought iron chandeliers and solid wood beams accentuate the Spanish theme.

Cabinetry doors have different panel designs and are in contrasting colors, the table is hand-painted and the butcher’s block island is finished in an organic coffee stain. To achieve balance, cabinets framing the farmhouse sink and freestanding range are equally proportioned.

Malibu tiles form the backsplash and decorate the hood and wall above the range. read full article
